Tentacles

Tentacles is a master's project focused on building a camping brand from the ground up. Starting with research into tents and the outdoor equipment market, the project explored how functionality, mobility, and emotional connection to the outdoors could come together to form a contemporary outdoor brand. From these insights, Tentacles was developed as a Canadian brand created around the idea of freedom, adaptability, and movement, complimented by the tagline “Carry your freedom”.

Creative process

The brand identity was designed to balance performance and emotion. The name, logo, and visual language reference both exploration and stability, positioning the product as a portable shelter that enables confidence, comfort and escape in the outdoors. Visual assets, including campaign imagery and billboards, translate this concept into a calm yet expressive aesthetic rooted in nature, identity and belonging.

Outcome

Central areas of this project were an experiential marketing campaigns and a media plan, developed to introduce Tentacles as a lifestyle-oriented outdoor brand. The campaign combines storytelling and strategy across traditional and digital channels and explores how a new brand can build awareness and community.
